Since moving to a ranch in Colorado in 2019, these words have taken on new meaning. Barnyard lessons come at you hard and fast. Livestock rely on you to show up every day and do right. You must be prepared, have the right tools, dress appropriately, and do the job until it’s finished. There’s no quit.

When you hire me to photograph your event, I will show up on time, be well prepared, make no excuses, and won’t leave until the job is complete.

I am a visual story teller, capturing unvarnished moments as they unfold. I feel the tenets of American Western heritage are as important today as they were for our pioneer settlers. In rural communities, where much of the food we eat is farmed and raised, families rely on extended family and neighbors in ways suburbanites can’t imagine. Finding common ground between a community’s needs and an individual’s sense of what’s right feels increasingly hard. Photography is my medium for creating the sense of community we all once relied on to survive.
